Welcome to Cogan’s Canine Care. By booking and using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These are in place to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and satisfaction of all dogs and humans involved.


1. General Information
Cogan’s Canine Care is a dog walking and pet care service based in South Leeds, owned and operated by Chloe Thompson. Services are provided in accordance with the values of care, trust, and professionalism.


2. Bookings & Payments

  • All services must be booked in advance via phone, email, or message.

  • Bookings are confirmed once a time and date are agreed, and a client consent form is completed.

  • Payments must be made in advance or on the day of service by cash, bank transfer, or agreed payment method.

  • Invoices (if required) can be provided for regular clients.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations with 24 hours' notice or more will not be charged.

  • Same-day cancellations may be charged at 50% of the agreed fee.

  • In the rare event that Cogan’s Canine Care needs to cancel a service, you will be notified as soon as possible and a full refund or rescheduled session will be offered.

4. Dog Requirements
To ensure safety for all dogs:

  • Dogs must be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and flea/worm treated.

  • Dogs must wear a secure collar/harness with an ID tag (as legally required).

  • Aggressive or unpredictable dogs may not be accepted. We will always discuss temperament during our initial meet & greet.

  • Dogs should have a good recall if off-lead walking is requested.

5. Off-Lead Consent
Off-lead walking is only permitted with written owner consent and at Chloe’s discretion, based on the dog’s recall, temperament, and environment.


6. Keys & Home Access

  • House keys or access codes (if needed) will be kept securely and never labelled with identifiable information.

  • You may request the return of your key at any time, and it will be returned promptly.

7. Emergencies & Vet Care

  • In the case of an emergency, Chloe will contact you immediately.

  • If urgent veterinary care is required and you are unreachable, Chloe will act in the best interest of your dog and take them to your named vet or the nearest available practice.

  • Any vet costs incurred will be the owner's responsibility.

8. Weather Conditions
Walks may be adapted in extreme weather (e.g. high heat, storms, or ice) to prioritise your dog’s safety. This could mean shorter walks, indoor play, or alternative arrangements where appropriate.


9. Photography & Social Media

  • With your permission, Cogan’s Canine Care may take photos of your dog during walks to share on our social media or website.

  • No identifying information (addresses, surnames, etc.) will ever be shared.

10. Insurance & Liability

  • Cogan’s Canine Care is fully insured for dog walking and pet care.

  • While every effort is made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your pet, Chloe Thompson cannot be held liable for any loss, injury, or death unless directly caused by negligence.

11. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes before they take effect.
