Hi, I’m Chloe, the face (and feet) behind Cogan’s Canine Care.

​

Before starting this business, I spent six years working as a qualified adult social worker, later specialising in learning disabilities. It was a career built on compassion, connection, and walking alongside people through some of life’s most challenging times, and I loved it.

​

However, in 2022 everything changed when I lost my mum very suddenly. That loss turned my world upside down.

​

In the year that followed, I made the difficult decision to step away from social work and focus on my own wellbeing. I’m still a registered social worker, just not currently practising and this caring heart hasn’t gone anywhere.

​

During that time, I found comfort in the simplest of routines. Most of all, walking my dog.

​

I adopted my Staffy when she was 8 (she’s now a glorious age of 13) and our daily walks quickly became a source of calm, grounding and connection. Soon, I found myself walking dogs for friends too, a Nurse with hectic shifts and another Social Worker struggling to juggle it all. 

 

Here I noticed something, I felt happiest when I was out with the dogs whilst helping others who needed a bit of extra support. No pressure. Just presence.

That’s when the idea for Cogan’s Canine Care was born, something that could honour my mum’s memory, reflect my love for dogs, and offer something meaningful to others.

​

Cogan’s Canine Care (named after my mum’s surname) is more than a dog walking service. It’s built on kindness, trust, and community.

 

I offer flexible, reliable support for:

🩺 Health and social care workers with long or irregular shifts
👵 Elderly dog owners who need a helping hand
💼 Busy people balancing a lot at once
💚 Anyone who sees their dog as family

With my background in social care and my journey, I understand how important consistency, trust and empathy are, both for people and for dogs. I’m here to be a calm, dependable presence in your and your dog’s day.

Because from everything I’ve lived and learned, I know dogs change lives. They bring routine, connection, joy, and so much love. Helping you nurture that bond, even on the busiest or hardest days, is what Cogan’s Canine Care is all about.
